Rental Agreement

This agreement is the basis for the rental of each and every garment. By placing an order from Ballin Rentals, you agree to having read and accepted these terms. 

By agreeing to these terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority (18) in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Should you dishonour this agreement and not pay the amounts due for any late return or damage to the goods, we will initiate enforcement procedures under this agreement. Should enforcement procedures be initiated we will claim all costs for the same against you including all solicitor fees applicable on a client solicitor basis.

Your right to our products are subject to the conditions stated below.

When renting a garment, you acknowledge that the legal owner is always to be Ballin Rentals. The rental is for 5 days only, and you will have no further rights to the goods on the date of expiry of the rental agreement.

Any cancellations made will result in the issue of store credit to the value of the rental, excluding shipping. We do not give refunds, so please be sure with your choice of garment. 
If your event has been cancelled due to COVID-19, we can issue you with store credit OR reserve the booking and wait until a new date has been issued.

We aim for your garment to arrive from three days before your event, this depends on whether or not it has been booked the following weekend. NZ Post is responsible for the delivery of the garment, and while they do provide a target and estimated arrival date this is only a guideline. In the chance that your garment does not arrive on time, you will be issued with store credit.

If you have reserved a dress and would like to change for any reason, you are welcome to dependent on availability.
If the new garment has a higher rental price, you are required to pay the additional cost and any differences will be issued as store credit. 

If the garment is not returned in the time frame of 2 days after the event, your bond will be forfeited. There will be a $10 late fee each day.
After 1 week, if you still have not returned the item, you will be charged 100% of the rental fee.

Dry-cleaning is included in the cost, but if the garment is returned in a state in which additional cleaning/repairs are required, your bond will be forfeited. This includes make up, fake tan or food stains and rips or pulls in the fabric. 

You hereby acknowledge that if the garment is returned in an unrepairable or heavily damaged/soiled state, you authorise Ballin Rentals to charge you 100% of the retail value, as determined by Ballin Rentals, of the garment rented.

Although most of our garments aren't brand new, we do our best to look after them, and aim to deliver them in the same condition. If you receive a garment that isn’t to standard, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving the garment. Any reports past these 12 hours will be deemed as the customer’s responsibility.

The garment is to be worn by only you. Care must be taken when wearing the garment, to avoid any staining or discolouration.

Rental prices displayed do not include shipping, this will be added on during the check out process. All prices are in NZD.

No garment is to be taken overseas, without prior agreement and arrangement.

Please do not not clean the garment in any way, as some fabrics require extra special care. We will take care of the cleaning once we receive it back!
